CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST IN NEUROPSYCHOLOGY

Ben has worked in the NHS since 2018 in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. His experience ranges across specialties including traumatic and acquired brain injury, memory services and general neurology, supporting people towards understanding and adjusting well to life with long-term conditions. 

After qualifying from the University of Bath, he has gained further specialist experience in neuropsychology working in stroke and brain injury services, with a keen interest in neurorehabilitation and therapy to support adjustment. He has experience working with a wide range of individuals with varying needs and goals, and his work in the NHS routinely involves liaising with other professionals, including those within multi-disciplinary teams, to support physical, psychological, and social rehabilitation. He is passionate about providing advice and support that is meaningful and practical following an assessment. 

Therapeutically Ben predominantly draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Systemic approaches to support clients to make sense of their experience and find ways forward. He takes a thorough, thoughtful, and compassionate approach to all his work and particularly enjoys seeing people live a life meaningful to them despite the challenges of a long-term condition. 

Ben is keen on continuous development, engaging with clinical guidance, and the latest evidence. He has earned a Master’s in Research, is registered with the HCPC and holds an accreditation with BABCP.
