Dr. Bronwen Royall

Paediatric Clinical Psychologist

Dr Bronwen Royall is a Clinical Psychologist working with children and young people with long-term neurological conditions.

Bronwen completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Exeter, and obtained an MSc with Distinction in Applied Neuropsychology at the University of Bristol. She has extensive experience conducting neurocognitive assessments and providing therapeutic interventions to young people experiencing psychological difficulties associated with their neurological illness/injury.

Bronwen feels passionately about working systemically when supporting this client group, considering collaboration with a young person’s wider system to be of fundamental importance in achieving positive therapeutic outcomes. Bronwen takes pride in offering a professional, warm and containing space to safely explore the young person’s difficulties and promote psychological well-being. Bronwen adopts an integrative stance to therapy, the models she most commonly draws upon include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Narrative Therapy.

Alongside her private work, Bronwen is deeply committed to her NHS role in Paediatric Neuropsychology where she supports young people and their families within the context of acute neurological illness, inpatient neurorehabilitation, and outpatient assessment and intervention.
