Mariana is a Clinical Psychologist with over ten years’ experience working in NHS mental health services across London and Cambridgeshire. She completed an MSc in Neuroscience at King’s College London and is currently finishing her PhD in Clinical Neuroscience at University of Cambridge. She qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2022 and developed a strong interest in neuropsychology through her work with older adults, where she gained experience in both neuropsychological assessment and therapeutic support for individuals and their families.

Mariana has worked in the NHS since 2013 and across a range of primary and secondary care services in London and Cambridgeshire. Her clinical approach is integrative and person-centred using trauma informed approaches. She draws primarily from systemic therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. She is also an accredited CBT therapist with BABCP. She has an interest in using third-wave models including Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness.

Mariana has an interest in using technology to increase and accelerate neurorehabilitation as well as to improve diagnosis. Her PhD thesis encompasses developing a machine learning model for the differential diagnosis of non-Alzheimer’s disease disorders using medical neuroimaging.
