Dr. Quratulain Khan is a Health Care Profession Council (HCPC) registered Clinical Neuropsychologist and an American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology (ABCN) certified Clinical Neuropsychologist. This is considered “the gold standard” for professional practice in Clinical Neuropsychology in America.
Dr. Khan has over 20 years of training and experience in neuropsychological assessment and treatment services for a broad range of neurocognitive conditions including traumatic and acquired brain injury, neurodegenerative conditions, and psychiatric conditions which present with cognitive problems. She specialses in rehabilitation neuropsychology.
Dr. Khan completed her psychology and neuropsychology training in Canada and the USA and worked for several years at a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Model System hospital in the USA where she developed and led the multidisciplinary mild TBI clinic as well as the COPE Concussion Group for patients experiencing prolonged recovery after a concussion.
She now works in independent practice in the USA and the UK where she provides psychological and cognitive/neuropsychological assessment, rehabilitation, and psychological therapy for adults and expert opinions on brain injury and other brain-based conditions. She utilises evidence-based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction approaches. She helps her clients with compensatory strategy development and emotional adjustment to cognitive changes and neurological diagnosis.
Dr. Khan provides services in English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Indiana University School of Medicine, USA. She is also a member of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) BI-ISIG Mild Traumatic Brain Injury Task Force and the Cognitive Rehabilitation Task Force.
