Bristol, South West England

Shona has worked across a range of acute and community neuropsychology settings across the lifespan, including adult neurorehabilitation, paediatric neuropsychology and dementia memory clinics. During her doctoral training, she completed electives in stroke rehabilitation and long-term conditions including chronic fatigue.

She has developed skills in neuropsychological assessment, formulation and adapted intervention focusing on helping individuals and families navigate the emotional and cognitive impact of neurological conditions.

Shona’s therapeutic approach is integrative and person-centred, including a focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). She also holds an Intermediate qualification with the Association for Family Therapy, and part of her current NHS role includes working systemically within a family therapy clinic. Alongside her clinical work, she has contributed to research publications in neuropsychology and dementia.

Shona’s work is compassionate and strengths-based, focusing on helping individuals identify and build on their personal values. She also recognises the wider systemic and relational dynamics that can influence a person’s experiences and well-being.
