Helen qualified with a Speech and Language Therapy BSc Hons degree in 2008, and completed the post-graduate dysphagia qualification in 2010.

As a speech therapist specialising in neuro rehabilitation, Helen is committed to providing person-centred care that is tailored to the unique needs of each patient. She believes that every patient deserves to be treated with respect, dignity, and compassion, and strives to create a safe and supportive environment where patients feel empowered to achieve their goals.

Collaborative working is an essential part of Helen’s practice, she works closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the best possible care. She models effective communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making as key to achieving positive outcomes. Helen believes that patient-driven goals are essential to successful therapy and that by working together patients can reach their full potential.

With extensive experience in dysphagia, dysarthria, verbal dyspraxia, aphasia and cognitive communication difficulties, and by working in in-patient acute and rehabilitation settings, as well as community teams, Helen has developed a deep understanding of the challenges that patients face and the best techniques to support them. She is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in the field to ensure that patients receive the highest quality care.
