Olivia Giller

Olivia qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1999 from the University of Southampton. Neurological rehabilitation was a keen area of interest for her sparked by a student placement in Oxford where she realised this was the area she wanted to pursue her career in.

She initially gained invaluable and necessary experience in the many varied and core areas of Physiotherapy following qualification on a junior rotation before specialising and moving to a Senior rehabilitation rotation and then finally taking a specialist neurological role within a Traumatic and Acquired brain injury Unit gaining over 20 years experience working both on the ward and within the attached out-patient Service.

Olivia is a member of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and Association of Physiotherapists interested in Neurology and has undertaken continual professional development throughout her career including training in Bobath techniques, motor relearning, splinting and serial casting, health coaching, working with disorders of consciousness, ataxia, electrical stimulation and postural management.

She has worked within an MDT of Occupational Therapists, Speech  and Language Therapists, Psychologists and treated a number of Neurological conditions including Brain and Head injury, Stroke, Disorders of consciousness, Guillian-Barre Syndrome, Spinal injuries, progressive Neurological conditions, Functional Neurological Disorder and has worked alongside medical colleagues in tone clinics providing advice and management post modalities such as Botulinum Toxin injections as well as providing Physiotherapy management.
