Shelley Lachenicht

Shelley Lachenicht qualified as an Occupational Therapist from The University of the Witwatersrand, in South Africa. She completed her undergraduate training in 2012 and then went on to complete her Masters degree in Neurorehabilitation in 2017. She has a special interest and passion in working in neurorehabilitation and has over 8 years of experience working in the neurology field. 

Shelley has worked in the public health sector in South Africa, with the NHS and has also has experience in working in the private sector, including time at a specialist neuro-rehab centre in Norfolk. 

Alongside Totus Neurorehabilitation, Shelley currently works as a specialist neuro OT in the NHS, providing assessment and treatment to adults with a range of neurological conditions including stroke, brain injury, GBS, Parkinsons disease and Multiple Sclerosis. Her clinical skills include physical assessment and rehabilitation including upper limb treatment, splinting and cognitive rehabilitation.  

Shelley is registered with the Health Care Professions Council and is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and the specialist section for neurological practice.
